A Vanilla Girl, Through and Through

It reads as mature. Warm. A bit sultry, honestly. Why I Use Three Products (And Why It Actually Matters)

I use the body wash, the body oil, and the perfume oil. Layering the same scent across multiple textures is what makes it last. Here's how it works for me: The body wash lays the base. It's the faintest layer, and on its own it fades pretty quickly, but it means the scent starts in the shower instead of on top of clean skin. The body oil is where it locks in. Oil holds fragrance so much longer than lotion does, and applying it to slightly damp skin right after the shower makes a real difference. This is the workhorse of the three. The perfume oil is the finishing layer. It's a roll-on, so I do pulse points — wrists, behind the ears, that spot at the base of my throat — and it blooms with your body heat instead of sitting on top of you like an alcohol-based spray. It's also tiny enough to live in my bag for a mid-day top-up. Together? The scent lasts days.
